After Hours
After Hours Triage
When our office is closed, and you have an urgent medical matter, we utilize a pediatric telephone triage service.
After you describe your child's illness, the nurse will follow the protocol and do one of the following:
- Detail advice on how to take care of the illness at home.
- Page our doctor on call to discuss the illness.
- Advise you to take your child to the Emergency Room for immediate treatment.
Please save non-urgent concerns like mild illness, appointment requests, and prescription refills for regular office hours.
If you have an urgent medical question and need to speak with our After-Hours Triage Nurse, call our main number
615-261-1210, and choose option 2. We encourage you to visit our child health resources for helpful information before calling our after-hours clinician. Please note any non-urgent calls such as refill requests will result in a $25 charge.
