Medical Ear Piercing

We are happy to offer this service to our patients.

We are proud to offer Blomdahl Medical Ear Piercing, a safe and hygienic piercing system developed from a medical perspective. Designed with skin health in mind, this medical-grade process completely eliminates the risk of spreading infections and protects against metal allergies.



We offer ear piercing by appointment only for the following age groups:

  • Infants ages 4 to 9 months
  • Children ages 5 years and older

For infants, we wait until at least 4 months of age to ensure they have received their first set of immunizations and to allow the ears to grow enough for accurate earring placement.

For children, we recommend waiting until 5 years of age or older so they are better able to sit still and participate during the procedure. Our goal is to make this elective procedure as safe and comfortable as possible while minimizing risks.


Appointment Information:

Ear piercing appointments are scheduled separately and often cannot be added to a sick visit or well visit. Dedicated appointments allow our staff sufficient time to:

  • Perform the procedure safely and accurately
  • Discuss the process with parents and patients
  • Answer questions
  • Review proper aftercare instructions
